Verify the exact instruction
Open the product details and compare the name and image with the required site instruction. Check whether you need head protection signs, protective clothing signs or another specific message. Where the wording is unclear, ask before ordering. A symbol that appears similar at thumbnail size may not be the correct instruction.
Request missing physical details
Confirm dimensions, material, finish and mounting information for the proposed item. The website only displays supplied data and should not invent a sign specification. Explain the intended installation environment to the responsible reviewer and supplier so unsuitable assumptions can be identified before approval.
Separate catalogue wording from evidence
A product name may contain a standard-related term, but a buyer with a formal requirement should obtain the relevant supporting documentation for the exact product. Do not treat the entire range as certified because one listing uses such a term. Retain the evidence with the approved order.
Review any customised artwork
Supply only authorised artwork and have the responsible site person review any changes to text or layout. Safety instructions should remain clear and appropriate to the approved requirement. A company logo is secondary to the sign’s function, and branding should not distort or cover the instruction.
Confirm delivery and receiving checks
Give the quantities, delivery location and required date. Check VAT and transport costs in the quote. On receipt, the organisation should compare the delivered signs with the approved specification before installation. Report discrepancies through the order contact and retain photographs or documents needed to resolve them.
